Boots are love. If I were rich, I would probably have a closet devoted to just boots.

And I can't seem to get enough of earrings. I just don't feel like myself if I'm not wearing a pair. I'm actually suprised I don't have more holes in my ear for this reason.

Our hosting provider is doing some upgrades this week, so we'll have some planned downtime in the wee hours tonight.

According to the notice they sent me, the downtime will only be about 15 minutes, sometime between midnight and 6:00 am tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.

If you're not familiar with last.fm, you should check it out.

In essence, it's a program which tracks the music you listen to (there's plugins for WinAmp, iTunes, etc.), then makes recommendations of other bands you might want to check out. Sorta like Pandora, except that it watches what you actually listen to. It's pretty nifty.

They also provide some web services, so over the next little while I'll be doing some cool stuff to integrate last.fm into Rosebleed - "top tracks" or "top artists" in your public profile, etc. To enable this, just set up an account at last.fm, then add your username to your Public Profile.

CFRC Queen's Radio is having it's 2007 funding drive from February 2-11 during which time donations of any amount will be accepted by phone or online. Their goal this year is to raise $15000 in 10 days. Gifts are tax deductible, or there will be CDs and gifts to choose from.

This station and radio broadcasting in general have a long tradition in Kingston and CFRC is currently home to both The Dark Carnival and All Leather Interior.

Events to accompany the on-air drive are being set now, so stay tuned to CFRC.ca or 101.9 FM to find out what will be happening.

For the last several years I have bought the same (or similar) pair of winter boots from Walmart - knee high black lace and zip up leather boots.

But this year, they aren't carrying a pair like this. I'm totally dissapointed. I have been looking everywhere for a pair of boots that I like at a half reasonable price, that are suitable for winter wear, and I just can't find anything.

It's been the same way with a winter coat too. I saw one at Heavy Red that I absolutely love, but they are all out of my size.

"It seems to have got the Lock market pretty badly, but the main Stables market that has Fairy Goth Mother and other such shops seems to have survived. The Dev's still there (even though it's no longer the Dev and is now the vile Hobgoblin instead). A lot of people have lost their homes and businesses, though, and After Dark Fashions has been completely gutted. The fire was pretty intense."
